Two Englishmen

Deux Anglais jouent au golf.

Two Englishmen are playing golf.

Alors qu'un convoi funèbre passe devant eux, l'un des deux hommes enlève son chapeau et reste immobile pendant quelques secondes.

As a funeral procession passes by, one of the Englishmen takes off his hat and remains motionless for a few seconds.

"C'était très gentil de ta part", dit son ami.

"That was a nice gesture from you", says his friend.

"Qu'est-ce que tu veux dire ?", répond-il d'un air pensif, "Dans quelques jours, nous aurions fêté nos 25 ans de mariage !"

"What do you mean with nice gesture", he answers thoughtfully, "in a few days we would have been married for 25 years!"
